As a cooperative bank, the members regularly elect\u00a0representatives to represent their interests as owners in the committees of the Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives elections at the\u00a0PSD Bank have been carried out online since 2009. The online representatives\u00a0election\u00a0of the cooperative bank was carried out\u00a0in the period from March 31 2014\u00a0to April 27 2014\u00a0as an election by list. For that purpose, an election list with proposals for a\u00a0future representative assembly\u00a0was established by the election committee.<\/p>\n<p>The members were asked to vote with the click of a mouse\u00a0on whether they agree with\u00a0the suggested\u00a0list or not. The application to participate in the online election\u00a0took place via the homepage of the PSD Bank.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-ltymfqmc-a7e66dfd12d3c3a0f73a2f3629a0358f '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Comfortable online voting<\/h2>\n<p>Since 2009, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polyas.de\/blog\/de\/kundeninterview\/der-vorstandsvorsitzende-der-psd-bank-westfalen-lippe-eg-zur-online-vertreterwahl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PSD Bank Westfalen-Lippe eG<\/a> \u00a0allows its members to have a quick and convenient vote\u00a0in the representatives election. Also in 2014, a total of 43,591 eligible voters were again called to exercise their right of co-determination online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>An online election represents a forward-looking cooperative which\u00a0employs innovative technologies to facilitate and increase electorate participation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bank was able to provide its members with\u00a0a secret ballot and a legally valid\u00a0election result,\u00a0because the POLYAS online voting system is the first election system which adheres to the electoral\u00a0principles online.<\/p>\n<p>In this way, the PSD Bank Westfalen-Lippe eG was able to provide its members with a modern and comfortable voting\u00a0process.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-ltymg7xp-b78053bb5458bc6df78350d079a20a72 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Secure access for online voters<\/h2>\n<p>To access the online voting system, each cooperative member received a user name and one-time password. At\u00a0a credit union such as the PSD-Bank, the possibility of using\u00a0the customer and account numbers as user name is self-evident.\u00a0The unique one-time password was created by POLYAS through\u00a0complex security algorithms.<\/p>\n<p>The PSD Bank opted for the\u00a0postal delivery of election documents to their cooperative members, which was also carried\u00a0out by POLYAS. By default, POLYAS provides the\u00a0authentification data digitally to the voters.
